Heartiversary!!!
Seven years ago today, we received the call from the hospital that they had a heart for my son. So today we celebrate with a heart of gratitude for his life and with a heart of thanksgiving to the family who donated their son's 29-year-old heart so my son would have a second chance at life.
For all of you who walked seven miles or 7,000 steps this week with him… thanks.
Special thanks to my crafting friends for making hearts to be given to others in honor of my son and in memory of the donor.
