Markel is home after spending five weeks in the hospital following brain surgery. He is thankful to God and the medical team that he is alive to tell of the goodness of God. Going through this 3rd surgery that was not related to his heart and coming out whole by the GRACE of God is a testimony of the greatness, power, and mercy of Our God toward him.

There were thousands of people in prayer for him and still are. I know of 20 churches across the country that were lifting him up before God in prayer each day — in NC, PA, GA, SC, OH, FL, NY, MA, and more. We thank God for each of you and pray that God will rain down blessings on you this day.

His daughters, Marnier and Lauren, have been a blessing to their dad. They seem to know what he needs before he does. "Dad, this is for you. Here is your water. Lean on me, I will help you get up, Dad. It is going to be okay, Dad. We love you, Dad. It is time to pray. Good night, Dad." These are their little sayings from their heart daily.

Our church family, Twelfth Baptist and Pastor Gerald, rallied around us with love and support around the clock. Markel received hundreds of cards that he is still opening from the saints of Twelfth Baptist. We thank God for a loving and praying church family.

The doctors and medical staff were sweet and caring. Some of the nurses would come in and say, "Mom, are you okay today? What do you need?" His neurosurgeon saw me in the hall one day, came up and gave me a hug, and said, "We are praying for him. He is strong and has youth on his side." There are still some loving and kind doctors. We are thankful for the staff at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

THANK YOU.
